Veteran Support at Wonthaggi RSL Sub-Branch

For over 107 years, Wonthaggi RSL Sub-Branch has proudly supported Veterans and their families — honouring their service and ensuring they have access to the help they need and deserve.

We support all who have served, including:

  • Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel (current or former)

  • National Servicemen

  • Reservists

  • Allied and Commonwealth Forces

  • With or without overseas service

You do not need to be a member of the Wonthaggi RSL Sub-Branch to access support.

Our Support Services Include:

  • Welfare Advocacy
Assistance with wellbeing-related matters and general support needs.

  • Pensions & Compensation Advocacy
Help with Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) claims and entitlements.

  • Information & Referrals
Guidance and connection to local services, support groups, and resources.

  • Community & Social Connection
Linking Veterans and their families with local organisations, activities, and events.

  • Veterans’ Morning Tea
Held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, from 10:30am to 12:00pm.

  • Home & Hospital Visitation Team
A friendly check-in for Veterans who may be unwell or isolated.

  • Exercise Groups
Promoting health and wellness through movement and community.

  • RSL Funeral Representation
Our Sub-Branch can attend Veterans’ funerals and perform the RSL Funeral Ritual — a final act of respect and recognition of service.
If a loved one was an ADF Veteran, please contact our Secretary on 0489 176 415 as early as possible. This ensures enough time to request a Statement of Service/Eulogy from Defence Records.
