Remembrance Day Appeal
WONTHAGGI RSL is looking for volunteers to help sell Remembrance Day Appeal merchandise in the Wonthaggi Area. Our contact details are at the bottom of every page, so don’t hesitate to get in touch today?
The valuable funds raised from our appeals go directly into support of veterans and their families who find themselves in necessitous circumstances, and the funds raised at the Wonthaggi RSL also go toward helping prevent social isolation and subsidising regular veteran wellbeing activities organised through our “wellness and wellbeing” programs.
Help make the 2026 Remembrance Day appeal a great success, and know that your time and assistance is immensely appreciated by our veterans in need and their families. And helps facilitate Wonthaggi RSL Sub Branch’s delivery of the support for Veterans and the Community of Bass Coast Shire.
What does it involve?
Badge sellers work alone or in pairs, for a 2-3 hour shift, at the designated selling point of their choice: e.g.
- Wonthaggi Plaza: 10am -12pm, 12-2pm
- Bunnings Wonthaggi: 11am – 2pm
Badge Stalls
EFTPOS machines for electronic payments are available for convenience, and and , QR Codes may be a consideration in future plans.
- At our Stalls you will be greeted by a friendly face and an array of badges and interesting memorabilia for sale to make your purchase.
- Training on how to use EFTPOS machines can be provided.
Service Members
‘’Service” member sellers are invited to wear allowable service paraphernalia: medals, ribbons or unit ID / hat / shirt / jacket, whilst supporting our selling activities, i.e. badges etc. as community members easily engage to empathise with actual accounts of service experiences whilst meeting veterans, or like to share their own connections to service.

Badges at Wonthaggi RSL
The Wonthaggi RSL Sub-Branch will have badges for sale at the Office Reception and Bar. Alternatively, view an array of products for sale within our new website’s Online Store.
Are you a business and want to sell badges?
The Appeals Officers will be pleased to hear from any school, workplace or business that is able to distribute and host the sale badges for Wonthaggi RSL? If you’d like to support our fund raising activities, in any way, or have a good idea, please contact the office via email and we’ll be follow it up?

Donations
If you are unable to purchase a badge, donations are greatly appreciated and can be made via direct deposit to the following account. Please retain your bank transaction receipt for taxation purposes.

ANZAC DAY APPEAL 2026
Wonthaggi RSL’s Appeals programme is powered by the efforts of our amazing Volunteers? You know who you are, Thank You to our valued volunteers that give up their time and contribute countless hours of selfless volunteering.
This year our sub-branch, driven by a volunteer team, raise substantive amounts of money during our appeals, selling Badges, Keyrings, Pens, Stubby Holders, at Bunnings, Wonthaggi Plaza and Ritchies Supermarket.
We are always appreciative of everybody who selflessly gives up their time to help out and man Sub Branch Points of Sale for Commemorative Event every year. And Remembrance Day 2026 is rapidly approaching, so again we’ll welcome all our volunteers again with open arms. We would like to acknowledge the tireless work that the CWA volunteers do to assist Wonthaggi RSL throughout the year.
Everyone’s valuable efforts go a long way to helping Veterans, and their families in need. Of course this would not be possible without the generosity of people who purchase Appeals Merchandise and donate to Sub Branches like Wonthaggi RSL.
