1. Code of Conduct

Wonthaggi RSL Sub-Branch is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all members, guests, and staff. This commitment extends to ensuring respectful behaviour across all interactions, whether on the premises, through electronic communications, or in public forums referencing Wonthaggi RSL Sub-Branch.

2. This Code of Conduct

Outlines the expectations of all members to uphold these values and provides guidelines for maintaining a respectful and harmonious community. Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership, as per the Constitution of the League and at the discretion of the Committee of Management.

3. Unacceptable Conduct

Behaviours deemed unacceptable include but are not limited to:

• Abusive and offensive language: Use of offensive or abusive language.
• Menacing or threatening behaviour: Acts of intimidation, bullying, harassment, and threats towards other members, guests, or staff, whether in person, via electronic communication, or on social media platforms.
• Failure to comply with lawful directions: Refusal to leave the premises when legally requested or attempting to re-enter after being removed.
• Excessive consumption of alcohol: Staff and Responsible Persons reserve the right to refuse service in accordance with Responsible Service of Alcohol guidelines and may direct individuals to leave the premises if necessary.
• Violation of privacy policies: Disregard for the RSL’s privacy obligations or misuse of private information.

Members’ Responsibilities
All members have a duty to ensure their conduct contributes to the RSL’s safe and respectful environment. Members are responsible for:

1. Guest behaviour: Ensuring that any guests they bring onto the premises abide by this Code of Conduct.
2. Property care: Accepting responsibility for any damage caused to the sub-branch property by themselves, their guests, or their children.
3. Supervising children: Ensuring that children remain under appropriate supervision at all times while on the premises.

We encourage our community to comment on posts and to send us messages.
